The Har-Ber Lady Wildcats traveled to Bentonville High School Feb. 15 where they took on the Lady Tigers.
The score after one quarter of play was 11-11 as each team kept pace with each other. That same pace kept rolling in the second quarter as both teams scored 10, to make the score 21-all at the half.
The third quarter determined the game, due to a lack of three point shooting by the Lady Wildcats, and an 8-20 melt-down from the stripe.
“We’ve been coming in to shoot freethrows every morning, but they just didnt fall for us,” said junior guard Jessica Olsen.
Eventhough the Lady Wildcats outscored Bentonville in the fourth quarter, the third quarter deficit was too much as Bentonville took it 39-34.
“We didn’t play our best, and we let the game get away from us (in the third quarter),” said junior post Caroline Eubanks.
Eubanks finished with a strong 13 point, 13 rebound double-double. Olsen and Morgan added seven each as well.
