On Jan. 25 Har-Ber wrestlers traveled crosstown to Springdale High School for a bout against Ft. Smith Southside and Ft. Smith Northside. On this night, Har-Ber brought nothing to the mat but their ‘A-game’, and it was evident every minute.
Northside took the punishment first finishing the match 69-9 against a relentless hard working Har-Ber team.
“We destroyed them except for a few of their guys that placed at state last year, it was probably the best we’ve wrestled as a team all year,” said Junior Wrestler Dylan Collins.
Collins, which had previously struggled against the same Northside opponent at Bentonville, finished him this time a little easier, pinning him.
Different school from the same city, but the same result came about as the Wildcats rolled over Ft. Smith Southside Rebels 59-12.
“It felt good to come back and destroy a team that we stuggled with last year, even though i didnt pick up a win, my team fought and came out on top,” said Junior Wrestler Ubaldo Marquez.
Jan. 29 Har-Ber returns to action in the Conway Arkansas Tournament.
