The saying “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” no longer applies for Britain’s Prince Harry. The handsome prince recently partied it up in Vegas with Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
Photos were taken and leaked on the internet, then later released in Britain’s tabloid “Sun”. The photos were not authorized for release by the palace.
The famous party boy’s escapades were also caught on film. The palace has tried its best to not allow the release of any of the footage to the media from Vegas. But after the publishing of the photos, the crown will be hard pressed to keep the video out of the public eye.
Currently, the press is batting around the video, as the owner tries to sell it for the best price. Us Weekly reported that the palace is attempting to prevent the video from being seen, chiefly because (rumor has it) that drug use could be involved in the Party Prince’s recent escapades.
In response to the photos of Harry exposed in all his glory, the palace has banned him from most of the public appearances he was scheduled to attend.
While the Vegas escapades have hindered Prince Harry’s fame, the scandal hasn’t touched Ryan Lochte. The US Olympian told Rolling Stone “as soon as I landed in the US, I started planning for Rio. But before I start my four years of training, I wanted to have some fun,” said Lochte about his royal party.
The prince and the gold medalist met and hit it off at the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremonies. The scandal in Vegas has not yet affected Lochte, but should the controversial video get leaked in accumulation with the racy nude photos, England’s third-in-line king could end his career.
Perhaps it is time for Prince Harry to start following big brother William’s example.
