Some people eat three meals a day with a few snacks in between. But for me, my whole day revolves around food. I wake up each morning and eat a delicious, hearty breakfast. The problem is that by the time I arrive to school I’m already hungry again. Sure, I bring snacks but they only last through first period. I’m usually okay throughout my second hour but both third and fourth are awful for my stomach.
I get so hungry my stomach growls like the lochness monster and then, if I don’t calm it with a snack, I get sick and feel as if I’m going to…well…throw up.
Lunch comes along and even though I pile my tray with salad and fruits, I finish my lunch, unsatisfied. I wish the lunch ladies served us more food.
The truth is, food is a passion of mine. I don’t eat when I’m sad, bored, or happy. I just eat all the time. But when I am hungry, food such as candy bars or granola bars will NOT satisfy my hunger, (despite Snickers relentless advertising that it will). I want a full cooked meal with side dishes and all. Anybody that knows me can confess a time in which I’ve stated that I want some fried chicken or some other sort of soul food.
I can trace my hunger back to exercise. When I am not playing soccer on a regular basis, I don’t eat nearly as much. I’m quite terrified that I’ll become so large I can’t walk when I get older. Hopefully, I’ll keep exercising till I die. That way, I can continue to enjoy eating any foods I want.
