Rumors have been swirling around that the muli-billionaire, Donald Trump, will be running in the 2012 Presidential Election. According to Bernie Goldberg from The O’Reilly Factor, Trump really is going to run for the presidency.
“I spoke to someone today, Bill. Someone who was in a position to know and that person tells me that Donald Trump has made up his mind and that as of today, barring any unforeseen circumstances, he will, he will run for the nomination of the Republican nomination for President of the United States,” said Goldberg on businessinder.com.
The reason for Trump’s drive to run for the presidential bid is because “the United States has become a whipping post for the rest of the world” Trump said at the 2011 Conservative Political Action Conference.
Trump’s ambition to fill the shoes of President of the United States has received much criticism and media attention. The media has been putting Trump in an awful light, making him appear to be someone at fault.
“What they don’t understand, even the journalists that I have lot of respect for, what they don’t understand is that millions of Americans who live between Manhattan and Malibu think that Donald Trump’s greatest asset is that he is not a politician, that he doesn’t talk like politician or think like a politician,” Goldberg was quoted on businessinder.com.
It is true that Trump appeals to Americans because he is not a politician, but are Trump’s motivates real? Is this claim for the presidency just a publicity stunt?
Trump has billions, upon billions of dollars and whether or not his intuitions are true, he won’t lose out on anything. He has the money to simply throw away as he pulls this over-the-top stunt. Trump is like politician, Sarah Palin, people either love them or hate them. And that could potentially be Trump’s down fall.
Trump’s hope for the Republican bid may be wash down the drain. According to FEC records, Trump gave $10,000 to the Democratic Committee of New York State in the fall of 2010.
Whether or not Trump really does become the 46th President of the United States of America is still up in the air. In June, Trump will make his finial decision about the presidential bid.
