The rain and cool temperatures did not dampen the spirits of the faculty. They knew the pregame festivites of the Sept. 16 football game, against Cabot at the Jerrell Williams Stadium, was all about them.
Chemistry teacher Lynsey Reynolds said, “It’s going to take a lot more than a little rain to slow down our staff.”
Friday Night was the annual “Teacher Appreciation Night.” Teacher Appreciation Night is a chance for the teachers to go stand out on the field and get the over-due recognition they deserve. This takes place 3o minutes before the opening kickoff.
Many of the faculty could be seen strutting the football jerseys throughout the school day. Some teachers would try and compete to get their favorite student’s or the football superstar’s jersey. This got many of the teachers even more excited for their pre-game appearances.
“It is really fun for all of the teachers. I love it! I always look forward to it. It’s one of my favorite days of the year,” Mrs. Reynolds said.
