The Onyx Coffee Lab has always been a popular attraction, but with the Springdale location being just down the road from Har-Ber High School, it’s everyone’s favorite go-to spot. Whether you’re looking for a place to study or a meeting place for friends, Onyx Coffee Lab has it all.
“It’s more spacious, it’s a little more laid back. This location is chill and has a nice atmosphere,” said manager Lauren Airola.
The local coffee shop gives a more relaxed feel with more space for its customers, whereas Onyx’s Fayetteville location is more packed, busy, and exciting in it’s own way. The quieter setting is ideal for high school students and encourages concentration while helping them unwind after a stressful day. In front of the coffee shop is a sizeable outdoor seating area.
“I always go to Onyx with my friends after school. Sometimes we study, and sometimes we just socialize, but the vibe at Onyx is always nice. The artwork is interesting to view,” said senior Devin Kostyal.
Customers also get to know the employee’s personality through the music they choose to play.
“The employees pick the music they want to play for customers, so every time you come in it will usually be different. It could be country, rap, bluegrass, it just fits,” said Airola.
The local Onyx promotes a sense of creativity found in the community by displaying artwork from local artists.
“We display the art by month from local artists who contact us. We try to reach out to the community,” said Airola.
Onyx has an extensive menu from home-brewed coffee to chai lattes, something to fit the individual taste of every visitor. Popular drinks include White Chocolate Mocha, Onyx Delight, and a variety of Truffles.
With an array of food and drinks and a lax atmosphere both inside and out, Onyx Coffee Lab is the place to be.
