Academy award winning director Kathryn Bigelow (Hurt Locker, Pointbreak) created the action thriller “Zero Dark Thirty,” which tells the story of the mission to capture Osama Bin Laden immediately after 9/11.
With high expectations going into this movie I was a very disappointed by this film.
It has been nominated for several different awards, but I couldn’t figure out why.
The acting was very hard to believe and the story was choppy with different depictions of certain events but no real story line. The truthfulness of the events in the film have been questioned, and it is a well known fact that Hollywood exaggerates and over dramatizes the events that have happened to entice the viewer.
Just because America does something good doesn’t mean we should make a movie about it, especially if it is a really boring process.
For all the action junkies out there, the only action is for about five minutes at the very end of the movie. I give America a 5, but this movie only deserves a 2.
