Over Spring Break during the 2011-12 school year, a new restaurant arrived to town called Bleu Monkey Grill. This eatery serves all kinds of food ranging from Cajun to Italian to seafood and more. On my travels to Bleu Monkey Grill, I found the location difficult to reach. It is very close to the highway and during five o’clock traffic it was somewhat hard to arrive at my destination of Bleu Monkey Grill.
When I entered the establishment, I found the setting to be chill and relaxed. Low lighting filled the room creating a calm environment. The atmosphere of Bleu Monkey Grill was enjoyable without being too loud or too quiet.
After looking over the menu filled with choices, I chose the BBQ pork sandwich. It was reasonably priced at around eight dollars for dinner. The sandwich itself was delicious. I mean, it wasn’t spectacular or anything but it was satisfying. I’m not sure I would get it again though. There was too much BBQ sauce so it overwhelmed my taste buds a bit in comparison to the amount of meat the sandwich held. The fries that accompanied my BBQ sandwich were incredible though. They were perfectly seasoned without any of those shady fries that people leave on their plate because they are too squishy or too overcooked.
My favorite part of Bleu Monkey Grill was the fantastic bread in which a customer could dip in the amazing pesto sauce. I found myself devouring an entire loaf of bread by myself.
Also, the service at Bleu Monkey Grill was awesome! Our food didn’t take forever to arrive and in fact, I was surprised it arrived so quickly! Our waiter was perfectly polite and my glass was never empty.
Overall, Bleu Monkey Grill is a great family dining restaurant. It has a very diverse menu for all ages and a great atmosphere. This eatery offers plenty of food for a reasonable price and serves to satisfy in the quality and quantity department.
