On my visit to the Golden Dragon Buffet, I was very surprised. The food was considerably tasty but the thing that surprised me the most was the decor! It was B-E-A-UTIFUL! There were tons of chandeliers everywhere and gorgeous light fixtures. Flat screen televisions hung from many walls.
Along with the wonderful decor, Golden Dragon had a great selection of food. Including the traditional chinese selection, (i.e. general taos, fried rice, lo mein, sushi), Golden Dragon also offerred a Hibachi grill in which a customer chooses from raw foods like noodles, beef, peppers, and onions. The cook adds the delicious teriyaki sauce on the grill and the customer returns to pick up their perfectly grilled food. Their sweet and sour chicken was delicious as was their lo mein and fried rice. The desserts, (though they had store bought cakes I believe), were quite delicious and their ice cream was awesome! Golden Dragon also had great egg rolls that were perfectly flaky and flavorful.
Despite Golden Dragon’s many positive aspects, there were a few displeasing things to be discussed. First, a customer had to bend down below the buffet bar in order to reach the plates and bowls. Dear girls, don’t wear short skirts or dresses to this restaurant; it will just be embarrassing and awkward for all of us. Along with the difficult to reach plates, I did not enjoy the general taos chicken as much as other Chinese eateries I have tried.
Overall, the lunch price was reasonable at $7.95 while dinner is priced at $9.95, (along with children prices). If you have a large family, the Golden Dragon offers tons of seating and you will most likely not have to wait long for a table.
