Hilarious and inviting are a few simple words to describe “Just Go With It,” starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Brooklyn Decker.
“Just Go With It” is the tale of a Danny (Sandler), a plastic surgeon, as he tries to finally find the one. After years of lies where he tells women he was in an abusive relationship and on the verge of leaving his horrible wife.
One night he meets Palmer (Decker), and he thinks he found the one.
However, when she finds his fake wedding ring, he invents a lie to keep her around and brings his assistant, Katherine (Aniston) in to help keep up the lie. As the lie builds, the characters are forced to Hawaii for an explosion of lies, each leading up to the other.
The characters in this film were well developed and able to keep evolving into truer versions of themselves. The screenplay was well written and provides emotional, creative links from character to viewer. Although the shots were simple, they were well done. They simply draw the viewers in without the audience even realizing it.
Throughout the film the viewer sees each character grow up in their own personal ways, although the ending of the movie comes rather suddenly. Despite the abrupt ending, it is still a good film overall.
